3 Tips On Finding Peace

I wanted to talk with you about how to get more peace in your life,  Because really… who doesn’t want more peace?

Peace can be a tricky conversation though, because most associate peace with a specific outcome.  So if I asked you what was stressing you out this week, you’d probably say something external…. Maybe a job, a relationship, money (or lack of) or health.  All things that our outside of you.

So I want to give you three tips on increasing your peace even before your situation changes.

But before we dive into that, a quick reminder:

Okay so now for those tips

Check your Intake! :  peace is often a result of what we are taking in.  What we listen to, what we read, and what we see is deeply linked to how we feel.  When you notice that you are feeling overwhelmed and stressed- take a look at what you’ve been taking in.

A great way to counteract some of the negative feelings you have is to input some positivity.

On my site I have a list of recommended videos, books and podcast

Check them out here: FREE RESOURCES

Watch What You Speak:  When ever we are in a situation that we don’t like, our inclination is to speak about it.  We vent to our friends or family or we complain.  But our speech has so much power, and often our feelings follow our speech.  So if you’re talking badly about something, chances are you will feel bad about that same thing.

A great tool to help with this is positive affirmations.

Change Your Environment:  Now of course I don’t expect you to pick up and move, but have you ever noticed certain environments trigger your stress? Pay attention to those triggers, if being around certain people cause your peace to be disrupted, make it your goal to stay away.

One way of  tracking this is to actually take note, the next time you feel stressed or not at peace.  Ask yourself,  what was happening right before the feeling came, where were you and who was around.  If you start to see a common thread, you’ll begin to see who, what and where you need to avoid.

Okay guys! Those are my 3 tips on getting more peace! Let me know which ones you try and how they work for you!
