Minding My Faith

How to take your own breath away!

With 2018 over, its only natural that you look back and look over all this past year has bought you.
It’s easy to just sum up this year based on a few highlights (or low lights) but the truth is 2018, like any other year,
Was a sum up of moments. Some good, some bad, some exciting and some painful, but they were your moments…
And life is about experiencing those moments, then learning how to hold tight to the good ones and release those
That don’t serve us well.

Im not going to lie, as I sat and thought about my year in review I legit got a huge smile on my face.  Not because
2018 didn’t have any downsides, but because I accomplished things, that if I’m honest, I NEVER thought I’d accomplish.
With that said though, this year some of my closest friendships were tested, some of which still aren’t the same. Many of my family members went through things that weighed heavily on me, my house was messy a good 65% of the time and I got sick more this year than I think I’ve ever gotten sick – Just to name a few things that weren’t all good.

BUT My GOD –  I discovered faith on a whole new level this year, I learned how to say NO to things that I didn’t want to do,
And that didn’t line up with my values and my purpose.  I opened up my friendship circle, I talked to strangers (this is a BIG
Deal for me), I went to two Life Changing Women’s conferences, I created Minding My Faith, I lead a workshop for college
Students, I started an IG series of videos to help other women like myself, I delivered my first sermon at my church
and the best part is, I found parts of myself that had been hidden for so long I forgot they existed!
When I think about 2018 – I literally blew my own mind!

And I don’t say this to brag.  I say this to lead into my question for you.
What are you doing to blow your own mind. In 2019 what could you accomplish
That at the end of next year, if you looked back it would take your own breath away?
I want you to get that image in your mind, the image of you, in amazement. Not in amazement  of something someone else
Did or is doing, but amazed at what you’ve done.  What you’ve been able to accomplish.

What is that thing for you? Write it down, and then decide that this year, that thing, that will take
Your breath away next year? Is a non negotiable.  And it doesn’t have to be anything huge, or something that
You think would make someone else proud.  This is a moment between you and YOU.  I’ll share a couple of mine so you get
An idea of possibilities.

It would take my breath away if at the end of next year I had been able to keep my house clean for the WHOLE year, consistently.
I know someone else may think this is an easy take, but guys I kid you not, I’ve never been able to do this in my whole 33 years
Of living.  So that would definitely take my breath away. And in order to make that a reality, cleaning daily, is not negotiable,
whether Im tired, busy, upset – whatever- it has to be done.

So now I want y’all to keep me accountable!! Every once in a while drop me a line on instagram (@XO_TEPH) and ask for a pic
Of my room lol

Now that you know one of mine, Whats yours? Comment below one area that you want to take your breath away in next year,
And then tell me what your non negotiable is!

Cant wait to hear from you
